Welcome to Room 219!

WELCOME to ROOM 219!

Welcome to our first class post for the year! Your children are adjusting nicely to a new grade, teacher, classmates, schedule, and expectations. Not to mention getting up and out of the house so early! Last week our focus was on getting to know each other and establishing expectations, routines and procedures that will allow each one of us to reach our goals for fourth grade.  They were very happy when they heard parents had homework last week! Thank you ALL for completing all that paper work and returning it so quickly!

I hope that you find our classroom blog helpful and enjoyable.  It's a great way for you to see what your children are learning as well as seeing them engaged in the learning process. (When you ask, "What did you learn in school today?" and they say, "Nothin'," don't believe them!) The easiest way to stay informed and involved in your child's learning is to receive these  new posts via email. Just submit your email address in the space under "Follow by Email" and you will be notified when I update the blog. You can view it right from email. (I usually only add a new post once a week.) Please know that my classroom blog is PRIVATE and available ONLY to families in my classroom.

I am looking forward to meeting you at open house on September 15th from 6-8 PM and answering any questions you may have about fourth grade. Please feel free to contact me before that if you have any concerns or questions.  Here's a peek at what we did in Room 219 last week...
